Downstairs
As you enter the cottage from the courtyard into the hall, there are spaces for shoes and coats with the two bedrooms and family bathroom on this level.
The spacious master bedroom is bright and airy with high ceilings, finished with a king-sized bed and complemented by an en-suite shower room.
Next to this is the twin room, again with plenty of space to move and a bathroom with a full sized bath. There is a travel cot and a camp bed available if you need.

With luxury towels, as seen in many 5* establishments, crisp cotton bed linen and eco friendly bath products from soaps to bath bombs, staying here is just a little slice of luxury.

Upstairs
Stairs lead from the hall up to the spacious kitchen. Well appointed with induction hob and electric oven, fridge, separate freezer and dishwasher. There is a toaster, kettle, cafetiere and the usual kitchen utensils, cutlery and crockery. We provide a fresh loaf and local jams. You may even find a plate of scones, warm from the oven.
The airy sitting room is well presented with a welcoming sofas, comfortable armchair, satellite TV and DVD with a ready supply of books and games, not to mention the stunning views up the valley into the very heart of the Lake District.

Outside
Outside there is also plenty of space. The cottage has its own generous garden with views across the valley and there is also a wildflower meadow with a variety of flora and fauna. In the spring the swallows and swifts come to stay and, if you sit quietly, you may see our local deer coming to nibble on the bushes.

Other facilities
There is parking for 2 cars (and more if you let us know in advance) with an EV charger. We can provide secure storage for bikes, there is a washer-dryer to cope with wet kit and free Wi-Fi in the cottage. Bandwidth isn't great at the moment but fibre is imminent.
