Products created using inspiration from locally sourced ingredients

There is a huge range of food shops from the Farm Shop at Graythwaite to the delis and gourmet delights of Hawkshead where you can try out even more of the jams etc that come in our Welcome Pack. The bakery at Greenodd and the ever wonderful Booths in Ulverston and Windermere offer more local delights. Go and have a browse and try out something new.

Chillies and Chocolate

Watch out for the one offs...

In addition to the local shops there are a number of food festivals and farmers markets in the area. The amazing Holker Chilli Fest celebrates everything hot whilst the Ulverston Apple Day is an extravaganza of all things apple and Cartmel Show has Professional chefs demonstrating their skills. For the real foodie, there are a few chances a year to go round the award winning Hawkshead Relish Company's barns and see how it is done.

Visit the farm

Looking after our landscape with rare and native livestock breeds

While you are here why not try some produce direct from the farm? Nibthwaite Grange Farm offer heritage lamb and beef (and make the wonderful soaps that are in the cottage!) whilst Old Hall Farm provide the jersey milk and have their own sausages and preserves on sale.

Fine Dining

Have a fine night out 

The Lakes are well known for the excellent eateries in the area.From a wide range of pubs, some within walking distance to the fine dining at the michelin starred L'Enclume 20 mins away in Cartmel. 

Grab a slice

Or stay in ...

If you would rather stay in, but not bother to cook, you could grab a slice of pizza from the Bakehouse or the traditional fish and chips from the Chippy, both in Greenodd. On the other hand, if you fancy a really special night in, why not give "Satty the Chef" from Elite Dining a try.
